The airline has experienced a period of unprecedented growth since commencing operations in 2006, having announced the purchase of 25 additional new Airbus A321neo aircraft in 2018 and 16 up-conversions of A320neos to A321neos to their existing purchase agreement . The Mexican carrier is now regarded as one of the fastest growing and dynamic airlines in the region.
As a progressive and ambitious airline, Viva Aerobus has a focus on continuous improvement and innovation for their operational systems and tools. Identifying and partnering with reputable and expert aviation suppliers is a key strand of this strategy.
Humberto Flores, Operations Management Director at Viva Aerobus comments: “We needed an efficient and scalable document management system that would significantly reduce staff time spent on managing, distributing and publishing manuals in different formats.
Managing manuals across the Viva Aerobus operation needs to be well-organized and transparent. We wanted a solution that would facilitate this and provide a holistic view of the status of the manual suite whilst being accessible via both EMBs and EFBs.”
As a managed service, DocuNet’s enterprise solution delivers a cost-effective and scalable platform that supports document management simplification, whilst supporting an airline’s drive for ongoing revenue improvement opportunities and enhanced service delivery.
Humberto added: “We have been extremely pleased with the responsiveness, speed, and flexibility of the Vistair team since our first correspondence.”
By implementing the DocuNet managed service, Viva Aerobus’ amendment instructions are now passed directly to the Vistair team through a simple online process with no requirement for any purchase of any additional software and minimal user familiarisation.
Ian Herbert, CEO at Vistair comments: “It is fantastic to receive the Viva Aerobus’ vote of confidence for DocuNet and we are thrilled to be working with such a dynamic airline. They have such ambitious plans for their business and it will be a pleasure supporting them.
